Employers

For Campus recruiting, we utilize Handshake, which is a free web-based system. Using Handshake students find possible career opportunities and employers find potential candidates.

To use Handshake, you must create your user account and request to recruit at Howard University. Join Handshake.

To learn more about our recruitment process, download our HUSB Recruitment Guide.

If recruitment is your goal, we recommend that you establish a relationship with students and cultivate that relationship through consistent engagement. Partnering with the School of Business is a great way to connect with students. The first step in creating a partnership with us is to attend one of our upcoming informational meetings that will detail the possibilities for engaging with us, including recruiting. To learn more about our school, complete a form to be added to our database for engagement updates, and register for a meeting: https://business.howard.edu/about/engaging-husb.

Career Fairs

Career Fairs are our signature recruitment events and we host one career fair in the Fall and one in the Spring.  The fairs are open to all Howard University students with a focus on the business majors: accounting, computer information systems, finance, international business, management, marketing, supply chain management and the students in the graduate programs: Master of Accountancy, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Finance.

Due to limited capacity, only major corporate sponsors and career partners are invited to attend our fairs.

If you are not a corporate sponsor or career partner, please email us at HUSB-Career@howrad.edu to inquire about additional ways to engage with students.

HUSB Career Partner Packages

We believe that connecting employers with our talented students is a win-win situation – students gain valuable exposure to potential job opportunities, while career partners have the chance to engage with top talent and strengthen their recruiting efforts.

Our team works closely with career partners to develop customized events and initiatives that meet their specific hiring needs and goals. Whether it’s hosting an exclusive networking event, facilitating Lunch & Learns, or coordinating on-campus interviews, we are committed to creating meaningful connections between career partners and our students.

By partnering with the Center for Career Excellence, you can tap into our extensive network of motivated students and gain access to the next generation of skilled professionals.
